Accolade to launch Hardys in the Ukraine

17 August, 2012

Accolade Wines has announced that it is to launch its leading Australian wine brand, Hardys into Ukraine.

Andrey Grumondz, Accolade’s director of sales for Russia and eastern Europe, has said that the first orders arrived in retailers in recent weeks and that they will be exclusively distributed by wine and spirits producer Olimp.

“It is an exciting time to launch Accolade Wines’ number one brand into Ukraine,” said Grumondz. “We are extremely confident that our link up with Olimp, who are one of the biggest drinks companies in Ukraine, will grow sales across what is a huge market.

“Australian wine is under-represented in this market, and we believe that Hardys, with its tremendous history and heritage, making quality wines since 1853, will help fly the flag for the Australian wine industry in theUkraine.”

The initial launch sees five Hardys wines hit the shelves: Hardys VR (Chardonnay,Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon) and Hardys Stamp (Riesling- Gewurztraminer and Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon).

Olimp will also be distributing Nobilo Orca Bay.

Hardys is now available in more than 70 countries.
