The Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg consortium has launched its website in Chinese.

The group says Asian consumers and operators will have the chance to learn more about the history, culture and the beauty of the region, which is on a list to become a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg, is produced in the hilly province of Treviso, in the north east of Italy, in the Veneto region, an hour’s drive from Venice. It is known and sold all over the world as the a foremost Italian Spumante.

The consortium claims it is a perfect match for traditional Asian food and Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg is gaining popularity in Asia, especially in China and Hong Kong. From 2010 to 2012, the export in this area has registered an increase of 78.9% with a current market share of €1.2 million.
