West-facing baijiu brand arrives in US duty free

09 January, 2015

Bye Joe USA has launched its baijiu products to US travel retail.

Aimed at western consumers, Bye Joe is said to be the first baijiu to introduce an infusion.

Byejoe Red (40% abv) is made in the traditional Chinese method using red sogrum wheat while Byejoe Dragon Fire (35% abv) is flavoured with dragon fruit, lychee, and Szechuan chilies.

The new expressions will be available from DFS group stores in San Francisco International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. A one litre bottle retails for USD $49.00.

Alberto Fariñez, travel retail manager of Bye Joe USA, said: “We are very pleased and excited to offer the international traveler a contemporary version of a very traditional spirit, and there is no better venue than in DFS stores, always bringing the best in luxury to travelers worldwide.”
