The annual celebration of champagne is set to take over the country from October1-7, and will be bigger than ever before, with 19 venues hosting more than 20 events across London, Birmingham and Bath. Ten Champagne houses will be lending their weight to the festivities.
Champagne houses taking part include Perrier-Jouët, Veuve Clicquot, Besserat, Moët & Chandon, Lanson, Tattinger, Mumm, Laurent-Perrier, Ruinart and Duval Leroy.
There will be tastings, masterclasses, brunches and discussions such as the rise of rosé.
A range of venues including Europe's longest champagne bar at St Pancras Grand, the iconic Gherkin and recently-opened Shoreditch hotspot Tonic & Remedy will be taking part. Participating venues outside London include the Pump Room in Bath and champagne bar and restaurant in Birmingham's Selfridges in the Bullring.
Rhian Phillips, head of marketing at Searcys, whose four London Champagne bars will be part of the celebrations, said: "We can't wait for what is the becoming the biggest week in the champagne calendar, bringing together those who want to show their appreciation for the world's most glamorous drink. Fans of fizz are in for a real treat, with a range of events across the week.
"Our aim is to emphasise the diversity of champagne with accessible, approachable and memorable experiences," said Phillips.
A full calendar of ticketed events will be released imminently.
