Pernod Ricard UK announces new marketing director

Pernod Ricard UK has announced that Philip Ainsworth, current marketing director of Wyborowa Pernod Ricard, has been made its new marketing director.

Ainsworth reports to PRUK managing director, Laurent Pillet.

Ainsworth replaces Patrick Venning, who will become global marketing director for Ballantine’s Finest and Introduction to Scotch Portfolio at Chivas Brothers – the Pernod’s scotch whisky business.

Pillet, said: “Our marketing department continues to inspire and innovate the industry, by consistently delivering engaging campaigns for our premium portfolio of leading brands. This is testament to Patrick’s leadership and we’ve ensured his successor possesses the same drive and determination to make us stand out.”

Ainsworth started his career in 1997 with Majestic Wine, before moving to a variety of roles within the drinks industry both in the UK and internationally for companies, including Enotria and Bodegas Riojanas.

Ainsworth joined Pernod in 2008 as international regional manager and in 2012 was appointed regional director in charge of EMEA (exc. UK, Germany, France & Spain).

Since 2014, he has been Wyborowa Pernod Ricard’s marketing director, based in Poland.
