Edrington wins three awards at Drinks International Travel Retail Awards 2018

Edrington Global Travel Retail won three awards at the Drinks International Travel Retail Awards 2018, the most authoritative, respected and premier drinks awards for the travel retail sector.

In the challenge Edrington Global Travel Retail fought off tough competition to win Supreme Champion Product, Travel Retail Exclusive of the Year and Drinks Launch of the Year with its The Macallan Quest Collection.

The awards were announced at the Hotel Majestic, Cannes on Tuesday 2nd October where leading travel retailers, operators came together for this prestigious event and paid tribute to some of the finest drinks products, campaigns and initiatives in the world.

Drinks International’s publisher Justin Smith said: “This year’s judging was tougher than ever before with consistent quality found across each category in both our operator and supplier awards. This year’s judging was a challenging day of discussion, deliberation and decisions as our expert panel drew up shortlists in each of the 15 categories.”

Edrington is a world leading producer of premium spirits specialising in scotch whisky with brands such as The Macallan, Highland Park and The Glenrothes.

The Travel Retail Awards were launched 12 years ago to recognise and highlight the importance of alcoholic drinks within the global travel retail sector. The competition is founded on a rigorous and independent judging process, receiving tens of entries. It is supported by many of the world's leading drinks producers and global travel retailers and operators who regard it as the leading drinks event that celebrates quality and excellence.

Winning an award is an impressive achievement for any drinks brand that passes the tough assessment from the experienced panel of specialist travel retail judges.
