UK: Courvoisier Cognac gets new brand ambassador

05 August, 2009

UK: Maxxium UK has appointed a new brand ambassador for Courvoisier.

French national Rébecca Asseline, who has over 10 years experience in the drinks industry, will educate the trade on Courvoisier’s range, including XO, Initial Extra, Succession J.S and L’Esprit. Rebecca will also raise the profile of Courvoisier Exclusif, a VSOP cognac specifically blended for mixing.

Courvoisier UK marketing manager Janice McIntosh said: “Rébecca’s appointment is part of Maxxium UK’s £12m investment in Courvoisier this year and will support the development of the brand in the UK. Her experience and passion for the brand will inspire and educate bartenders while encouraging new drinkers into the category.

“As the UK’s number one cognac, we are committed to driving value in the category through education. Rébecca will unravel some of the complexities surrounding cognac and inspire trade interest.

“Rébecca will draw on extensive experience including her training at top London bars, working alongside some of the best UK mixologists and previous ambassadorial roles.”

Rébecca said: “By offering in-depth training I will maximise visibility and brand presence and ensure that our trade partners become confident brand advocates.”
