Ireland: Aspall Cyder launches on draught

05 November, 2009

Ireland: Suffolk cider Aspall is to launch on draught in Ireland.

The launch follows the successful launch of bottled cider, through Irish-based importer Noreast.

The drink is to be served chilled in the Aspall branded goblet (but not poured over ice).

Aspall commercial director, Geoff Bradman, said: “We have seen a significant growth in export in the last year, but to launch our draught product into Ireland with Noreast is a great result.

“Ireland is home to some very discerning cider palates, so to have the opportunity to present them with our premium quality draught cider is not only welcome for us, it will also offer drinkers there the chance to broaden their cider repertoire.

“We know from previous experience that once consumers have tasted Aspall Suffolk Cyder they appreciate how different it is from the more mainstream brands. Since Aspall cyders were relaunched in 2000 they have won numerous awards for quality including Premier Cru being named the World’s Best Cider last year.”

Aspall: Premier Cru, Organic Suffolk Cyder and Draught Suffolk Cyder (all in bottled format) have been available in Ireland since 2007, through Noreast. A fourth product, Perronelle’s Blush, completes the Aspall range. Aspall launched its ciders into Scotland for the first time in April 2008, and a selection of the ciders are also available in the Australian and French markets.
