Edrington's Black Grouse, a blend of Famous Grouse with Islay malt whiskies to create a peated, blended whisky, is being rolled out to a number of countries following its Swedish launch in April . It already has a presence in Germany and the Netherlands , and the Nordic and Baltic countries, plus South Africa, will get it this month, with other European markets following afterwards.

Famous Grouse director Gerry O'Donnell said: "We are seeing a trend towards more challenging whiskies and flavours, and we feel The Black Grouse delivers this on all levels."
