International Beverage’s Chang beer has scooped a gold medal at the 2008 World Beer Championships in Chicago.

The competition is organised by the Beverage Testing Institute (BTI) and the championships are America’s oldest international beer competition.

Thai Chang beer achieved an ‘exceptional’ rating.

Lesley Scoular, Chang's UK-based brand manager, said: "In an extremely competitive market Chang Beer continues to win over customers with a beer that is brewed by a highly experienced brewing team in Thailand and winning a gold medal at the 2008 World Beer Championships will reinforce the quality image of the brand.”
