Cockburn's port declares 2007 vintage

07 May, 2009

Beam Global’s Cockburn’s port has declared two vintage wines: Cockburn’s Vintage 2007 and Quinta dos Canais Vintage 2007.

The Cockburn’s Vintage 2007 is blended from Touriga Nacional (45%) and Touriga Franca (40%) sourced from Quinta dos Canais. The balance is made up of a blend of grapes from old vineyards the Quinta das Amendoeiras close to Canais.

The Quinta dos Canais 2007 vintage has been blended from two grape varieties, Touriga Nacional (72%) and Tinta Roriz (28%).

Cockburn’s managing director and master blender Miguel Côrte-Real said: “The Cockburn’s 2007 vintage will be recorded as one of Cockburn’s finest due to its great complexity of flavours, balance and rich tannins.

“The wine’s depth will ensure long ageing potential.”
