The Drinks Trust has announced the resignation of Ross Carter, who served as chief executive officer for the organisation since July 2019.

This winter, The Drinks Trust is launching a dedicated grant-giving campaign, the Emergency Energy Poverty Fund, that will run from October 2022 until the exhaustion of funds.

Ross Carter, who was head of London Wine Fair between 2013 and 2017, is the new chief executive of The Benevolent, the UK drinks industry charity.

Hannah Tovey will replace Ross Carter as head of the London Wine Fair after the show takes place at the end of this month.

Vinexpo Bordeaux and the London Wine Fair have both committed to addressing the potential market-threatening effects of Brexit by hosting industry debates.

London Wine Fair feedback has been 'overwhelmingly positive' despite a fall in visitor numbers, according to show organisers.
