3 Amigos Tequila to enter global market

04 October, 2010

Brand marketer, The Paddington Corporation, has announced a joint venture with 3 Amigos Tequila to market its range globally.

The deal also sees Pelican Brands - distributor of Singha Beer - assuming exclusive control of all imports to the US market.

3 Amigos Tequila, which was founded in 2007 by Arizona-based Santiago Gonzalez, is a family-focused business, with distillation and bottling of the spirit taking place in Mexico.

Santiago Gonzalez, chief executive of 3 Amigos Tequila, said: “The Paddington Corporation has tremendous resources as a marketer of distilled spirits. Together with Pelican Brands, we have a national sales platform.”

J Smoke Wallin, chairman of The Paddington Corporation and chairman and chief executive of Pelican Brands, said: “With Paddington Corporation as brand manager and Pelican Brands as importer and national sales manager we have the perfect combination to make this roll out happen in record time.”

Gonzalez added: “This is an exciting day for our family, business and for the community. This will allow our family to continue to focus on growing the best agave on our farms and making the best tequila while we grow 3 Amigos.”

3 Amigos Tequila, which includes 3 Amigos Blanco, 3 Amigos Reposado, 3 Amigos Anejo and 3 Amigos Organic Blanco among its range, will be made available to the on and off-trade, with a national US roll out planned for 2011.
