Ballantine’s launches Christmas Reserve

05 October, 2010

Ballantine’s has unveiled its first seasonal limited edition whisky entitled Christmas Reserve.

The Chivas Brothers-owned blended whisky brand aims to attract new and existing customers to the edition, with an emphasis placed on strengthening its position in key European markets.

According to Ballantine’s, the blend has “seasonal notes and luxury Christmas aromas such as sweet wood, dried fruit, raisins and cinnamon”.

Peter Moore, international brand director for Ballantine’s, said: “Predictably there’s always a strong focus on gifting at this time of the year so it was important for us to respond with a unique expression.”

The Christmas Reserve is available from October to December this year, in key markets such as Spain, France, Poland and Taiwan.

In a move away from Ballantine’s traditional blue packaging, the Christmas Reserve is presented in a white card box, decorated with white snowflakes and golden foil.
