Diageo launches Swedish vodka

11 October, 2010

US: Diageo has launched a Swedish vodka in the US market.

Rökk vodka is described as ‘premium’ and the original brand will be joined by four flavours – raspberry, orange, citrus and apple. The original vodka is 40% abv and the flavoured vodkas are 35% abv. The vodka is produced via a freeze filtration process – the vodka is chilled to “sub zero” temperatures before running through the filtration process.

Adam Rosen, brand director, said: “The launch of Rökk vodka marks a significant addition to Diageo’s offerings providing a compelling premium priced Swedish import in a period when consumers are looking for choice in the import space.”

The new vodkas will be available at grocery, liquor, club and drug stores nationwide.
