Balblair 1995 to launch at TFWA Asia Pacific

09 May, 2011

International Beverage Holdings will unveil the 1995 vintage of Balblair single malt scotch whisky at TFWA Asia Pacific.

Balblair 1995, which will be showcased from May 15-19 at the Singapore event, is launching exclusively to global travel retail and joins Balblair vintages 1978, 1989, 1997 and 2000.

The highland whisky has undergone maturation in second-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks, is un-chill-filtered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46% abv.

James Bateman, global travel retail manager for International Beverage said: “Travel retail is a key sales platform in International Beverage’s brands strategy for 2011.

“The decision to launch the latest Balblair vintage at TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition underlines our commitment to invest in the travel retail channel; it is the perfect platform to introduce our brands to the wider Asian/Pacific market.”

According to International Beverage holdings the one-litre bottles are packaged in a gift box that has been reduced in size by 10%, making it “more portable for those purchasing whilst travelling”.

Listed among the whisky's tasting notes are pears, pineapple, green apple, coconut, vanilla, citrus, spice, and toffee.
