The XO is made from 100% grande champagne – sourced from the appellation’s premier vineyard sites – and is bottled at 43% abv.
In the US, the A de Fussigny Coganc expression is priced at $219 for 75cl, while the 70cl bottle is €199 in Europe and €150 in duty free markets.
According to the brand, the cognac is targeted at young, modern and educate consumers, while it “embodies the concept of innovation, dynamism, modern luxury and high quality”.
The bottle comes with a gold-topped decanter and is housed in an embossed gold and red gift box.
The tasting notes are described as: “complex aromas of candied fruits and tasty pastry notes, followed by delicate notes of liquorice, mushroom, and herbaceous aromas of sap and menthol.
“The finish shows notes of vanilla and sweet spices (curry, coriander, and clove) with a round and powerful texture.”
