Pernod Ricard signs joint venture with Tequila Avión

Pernod Ricard has announced a joint venture with Tequila Avión to produce and promote the ‘ultra-premium’ tequila brand Avión.

Pernod, the second largest drinks company in the world, will hold a minority interest in the JV and will be the exclusive worldwide distributor of the brand.

Avión was created in July 2010 and has achieved strong sale and has become an "ultra-premium tequila of choice in many high-end venues in the US", according to the company’s statement.
