EXCLUSIVE: SABMiller launches Peroni and Mario Biondi ad

03 October, 2011

SABMiller has launched a new global advertising campaign for Peroni Nastro Azzurro, featuring Italian singer Mario Biondi.

Entitled Autumn / Winter, the cinema advertisement – which will also appear in print form - is the second installment of Peroni’s Four Seasons of Italian Style campaign, following its Spring / Summer ad earlier this year.

This time out the 'film' is set in Milan and Cortina in Italy, and, according to SABMiller, represents a “celebration of Italian life through the seasons in reflection of the fashion calendar”.

Launching in the UK today, the cinema and print campaign will roll out to global markets next year.

Triple platinum artist Mario Biondi provided the soundtrack to the film with his rendition of The Temptations’ Get Ready, while hand-held Bolex cameras were used by creative agency The Bank to create an “intimate” style of cinematography.

Claudia Falcone, Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s global marketing manager said: “As Italians, we do Autumn / Winter differently. We make the most of the shorter days, filling them with life, laughter and love and bringing people together to create unique moments whether in Milan or in the Dolomites.

“The Italian passion, spontaneity, and charm are all captured in the film, as we follow a group of young Italians from Milan to Cortina.”

Mario Biondi said: “Through the film, Peroni Nastro Azzurro has created an authentic and beautiful Italian moment which conveys the charm and timeless elegance of an Italian winter.”
