Budding film-makers should be “inspired by the theme of a legendary, humorous or very tall tale. The shortlist will be judged by an expert team including Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti, president of Trigger Street (The Social Network and 21). The nominees will then go through to the next round, where they will show their directing skills by shooting a scene supplied by Trigger Street.

Entrants must submit a script onto www.jamesonfirstshot.com by December 31.

The competition is an extension of the Pernod Ricard/Irish Distillers’ owned brand’s long term association with the world of film.

Jameson is involved with film in more than 30 countries with sponsorships such as The Jameson Empire Film Awards in London, The Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles and the major local sponsorship of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.
