16 December, 2011

Billed as its super-premium expressions, Beam has released Teacher’s 25 Year Old and Teacher’s Highland Single Malt to global markets.

The launch took place in India, a strong market for the brand due to the success of  Teacher’s Highland Cream, Teacher’s 50 – 12 Years Old and the recently introduced innovation Teacher’s Origin.

In India the 25 Year Old is priced at around 26,230-33,225 rupees depending on the market while it will be available in duty free for $250.

Teacher’s Highland Single Malt ranges from 3,900-5,000 rupees and will be priced at $40 in duty free.

Speaking at the global launch of the two expressions in India, Harish Moolchandani, CEO and managing director of Beam India and the Indian sub continent, said: “Teacher’s as a brand outperformed the market and expectations and its elevation to the numero uno position in India has reaffirmed our belief in the understanding we have of the Indian consumer and their requirements.

“Teacher’s 25 Year Old and Teacher’s Single Malt are very premium expressions that will help us break through the clutter in the Indian scotch whisky market and offer the finest experiences to whisky aficionados."
