Patrón enters Croatia

28 March, 2013

Patrón Spirits has partnered with Mohor Trgovina to distribute its products in Croatia.

Founded in 1994, Zagreb-based Mohor is an established Champagne, wine and spirits wholesaler in the market.

It will distribute Patrón XO Cafe coffee liqueur, Ultimat vodka and Pyrat rums in what Patrón Spirits terms the “fast-growing Croatian market”.

Mohor Trgovina will direct Patrón's brands to "top" restaurants, bars, clubs, hotels and “premium" retail locations in “key" cities and resorts.

John McDonnell, president, International, and chief operating Officer of Patrón Spirits International, said: “Croatia’s thirst for sophisticated, luxury spirits is expanding quickly, and with the country’s ascension to the European Union later this year, increased tourism and investment there will only continue to grow.”

“It’s an exciting time to be entering the Croatian market and with Mohor’s knowledge and understanding of the local business environment, together with their impressive history of building successful wine and spirits brands, they’re an ideal partner for us in this rapidly emerging European market.”

Mohor’s portfolio in Croatia includes brands Moët Hennessy, Bols, Riedel Glassware, and numerous Croatian, Italian, French and Australian wines.

Patrón tequilas are available in more than 130 markets worldwide.
