The company, which bought G&J Greenall in 2011 and is headed up by former Gruppo Campari CEO Enzo Visone, has launched the gin in the UK, with Spain to follow later this summer.
Opihr’s 10 botanicals have an oriental slant and include coriander from Morocco, black pepper from India and spicy cubeb berries from Indonesia.
Juniper, cumin and cardamom are also discernable in the gin.
Made in Warrington by G&J Greenall’s Joanne Moore, Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin has an abv of 40% and is priced at £23.00 for 70cl.
The group has also announced the September re-launch of Toussaint Coffee Liqueur, which the group acquired last year.
The packaging has been given a face-lift and the liqueur is now made with Arabica coffee beans and aged Caribbean rum, rather than neutral grain spirit.
Available to the UK on and off trade when it launches, Toussaint Coffee Liqueur (30% abv) will carry an RRP of £19.50 for 50cl.
