First Drinks and Rémy Cointreau end their distribution agreement

First Drinks Brands and Rémy Cointreau have confirmed that their distribution agreement in the UK will end on March 31.

After that Rémy Martin, Cointreau, Mount Gay Rum and Passoã will be distributed by the Rémy Cointreau UK Distribution Company.

First Drinks, which is owned by Wiliam Grant & Sons and Rémy Cointreau have worked in together since 2009.

Earlier this year, Rémy Cointreau decided to set up its own route to market in the UK for The Botanist and Bruichladdich. As such, First Drinks has been working with Rémy Cointreau on a transition plan for 2014.
