Azerbaijan to debut at LWF

01 May, 2014

Brintex has announced Azerbaijan will exhibit at the London Wine Fair for the first time, joining other debutants English Wine Producers and The Douro and Estrela.

Azerbaijan’s generic wine body will show three of the country’s wineries, which are all seeking UK representation.

Azerbaijan is part of the South Caucasus region known as the “cradle of wine” and the wineries participating will show wines made with  international (Pinot Noir is the most common) and indigenous grape varieties.

Ridgeview and Chapel Down will be among the English Wine Producers at a generic stand while the Madeira Wine Institute will exhibit for the first time since 2005.

Show director, Ross Carter, said: “The London Wine Fair has always been about discovery and this year is no exception. 2014 will see exhibitors representing 31 countries, and I'm delighted that this includes a good number of first time exhibiting nations and regions.”
