Wondrich to host World's 50 Best Bars

16 May, 2014

Cocktail historian David Wondrich has been confirmed as the host of The World's 50 Best Bars ceremony for 2014, which takes place in London on October 9.

This year the event will be held at Christ Church Spitalfields, an 18th century baroque church designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor, and will be co-presented by drinks commentator Tom Sandham.

Five hundred of the world’s leading bar professionals will gather for the countdown from bars 50 to 1 and to honour the best bar is the business.

The ceremony, which is invitation only, runs from 19:00-23:00 and features cocktails and canapés.

The countdown is the culmination of a global survey of 350 of the world’s leading bar experts, The World’s 50 Best Bars Academy.

The World's 50 Best Bars 2014 is supported by sponsors: Nikka whisky, Asahi beer, Polignac Cognac and Botran rum.
