London Wine Fair hailed a success

09 June, 2014

Brintex, organisers of the London Wine Fair, has hailed the reinvented, relocated trade show a success.

It says the exhibition, back at Kensington Olympia, had a 50% increase in exhibitors (780 in 2014 up from 540 in 2013). Visitor numbers totalled 11,247, an 11% increase on the previous year. More importantly, says Brintex, the key sectors of on-trade and independent retail increased by 30% and 25% respectively.

New features included esoterica, for smaller, boutique importers; a dedicated section on bulk wine; as well as The Brewhouse tasting of small batch, specialist and craft beers.

Event director Ross Carter, said: “We couldn’t be happier with the results this year. The trade called for change, we listened, and delivered beyond even our high expectations. The buzz around the halls was incredible and the feedback so far has been nothing but positive. Exhibitors put their faith in our ability to host a world-class trade event, and I’d like to think we achieved that and more. We’re already working up plans to make further improvements in 2015 and I’m confident that they’ll be equally well received.”

The 2015 London Wine Fair will run from Monday May 18 to Wednesday May 20 and will take place in Olympia London.
