Prosecco success shapes McGuigan strategy

19 May, 2015

The rise in prosecco has made Australian Vintage rethink its sparkling wine offering, according to CEO Neil McGuigan.

The CEO said the McGuigan Frizzante – officially launched yesterday at the London Wine Fair – is his company’s response and the “next step” he wants McGuigan to take.

Available across the UK and Ireland from this month, McGuigan said the Frizzante is “very approachable, easy to drink and affordable”.

McGuigan unveiled the sparkler to the trade at its LWF BBQ with celebrity chef John Torode. The product carries an RRP of £7.99 and is the first sparkling Semillon to hit the UK market.
