Artesian tops World's 50 Best Bars

08 October, 2015

Artesian at the Langham Hotel in London was named the number one bar on the planet at Drinks International’s World’s 50 Best Bars Awards tonight.

It is the fourth year in a row the hotel bar has taken the top spot.

The World’s 50 Best Bars 2015, now in its seventh edition, was voted for by over 400 bar experts from 53 countries and 117 cities around the world.

Around 500 global bar industry guests, including representatives from 47 of the 50 bars, gathered for the awards ceremony at Christ Church Spitafields in London.

Artesian once again beat off competition from New York’s Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog, which won Best Bar in North America, and London’s Nightjar in third.

The top five all came from New York and London, with the US city’s Employees Only finishing fourth and the UK capital’s American Bar at the Savoy fifth.

Sydney’s Baxter Inn came sixth, winning Best Bar in Australasia, 28 Hongkong Street from Singapore finished 7th taking the title of Best Bar in Asia, Imperial Craft from Tel Aviv was 17th and the Best Bar in Africa & Middle East, while Licoreria Limantour in Mexico City, 20th, was named Best Bar in Latin America.
