Mouton Cadet Wine Bar ready for Cannes Film Festival

16 May, 2017

The Mouton Cadet Wine Bar will be open for two weeks during the 70th edition of the Cannes International Film Festival.

The bar will be located on the rooftop of the Palais des Festivals and has been redesigned by French decorative artist Mathias Kiss, to unveil its cocktail-hour reception called ‘the Sunset Aperitif’.

Film industry stars such as Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell and director Yorgos Lanthimos will host their media appointments and interviews at the bar before the award ceremony and the entire cast of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival will also gather at the bar.

US actress Eva Longoria’s gala charity ball, the Global Gift Initiative, will also be held at the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar for the fourth year in succession, and on Thursday 18 May, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA will be the focus point during the opening cocktail hour of the bar.

2017 Cannes Mouton Cadet Limited Edition wines will be served at the venue to celebrate the festival’s 70th anniversary, available in red, white and rosé. The wines will also be distributed in selected countries around the world.
