Jura releases One And All whisky range

01 September, 2017

Jura Single Malt Whisky has launched a limited edition range One And All, in celebration of Jura’s community and its workers.

There are 5,000 bottles of the 20-year-old cask strength whisky (51% ABV) and it is available globally with an RSP of £120.

“There’s no better way to mark the distillery team’s dedication and craftsmanship, than by creating a limited edition expression in their honour – chosen by them,” said Graham Logan, distillery manager.

“I think it’s really important to recongnise the work that goes into producing the whisky and the community which supports it.

“The first time I came to Jura I went to the pub and was instantly taken by the hospitality and warmth I was given. It’s a one in a million place.”

The island of Jura is a member of the Scottish Inner Hebrides and has a population of 196, 17 of which are employed by the Jura Distillery.

The distillery re-opened more than 50 years ago and on the 6 February 2017, the team got together to choose the bottling.

Logan added: “I’d say the biggest drama was getting people together because being islanders they’re quite shy and unassuming.

“They were timid to the idea of having their names in the spotlight.”

One And All is matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and prepared with Jura aged in sherry wood, sparkling Cabernet Franc casks, Cabernet Sauvignon casks and Pinot Noir barriques.

According to Logan, One And All has a tropical fruits and ginger spice nose with dark toffee, maple syrups and vanilla tasting notes.
