Jefferson's Bourbon enters Mash Steakhouse

13 August, 2018

Mash Steak House in London has imported an entire barrel of Jefferson’s Bourbon from Kentucky to use in its new cocktail menu.

The steak house is one of the largest single venue spaces in London and has the widest selection of American whiskies in the UK, with more than 200 different bottles.

The barrel was delivered in July along with 216 bottles of Mash-branded Jefferson’s Bourbon which has been specifically selected to serve in the Soho-based steak house.

Head bartender at Mash, Bartosz Jakowiec said: “I’m currently in the process of creating a new menu so it will be great to use our new Jefferson’s Bourbon in some of the cocktails.

“It’s quite a unique thing that we are doing and we’re thinking about hosting Jefferson’s-based ticketed events with live music.”

Jefferson’s Bourbon was founded by Trey Zoeller in 1997 and the Kentucky-based brand takes whiskies from different distilleries and blends them to create its own expressions.

Jakowiec: “The whiskey itself is fantastic. Jefferson’s makes really interesting bourbons so it will act as a perfect option for any customers asking for something different, whether they’re regulars or just visiting London.”

Mash is a Danish chain of American-style steak houses with venues in the UK, Germany and Denmark. It specialises in steaks and American whisky and the London site has been voted best steak in London on Tripadvisor.
