The mixer contains Mexican limes, tangerines and bitter orange and has been designed to create a range of simple, long mixed drinks.
Fever-Tree co-founder Tim Warrillow, said: “Provenance and using the highest quality ingredients is integral to us both and that is why, in developing our Citrus Tonic, we travelled across Mexico to discover the passionate producers growing the finest citrus fruits enabling us to create a mixer to perfectly complement Patrón Tequila.”
The limes used in production have been sourced from Colima and Michoacán, the tangerines from Vera Cruz and the bitter oranges from Yucatán.
“It’s the perfect pairing between two pioneering brands,” added Lee Applbaum, global CMO of Patrón. “Together we are recruiting new customers and changing preconceptions. It showcases the versatility of Patrón and mixability of Fever-Tree Tonic."
Richard Cuthbert, international marketing director, Fever-Tree continued: “Simple, long mixed drinks are seeing a huge resurgence in popularity with both bartenders and consumers at home - and Fever-Tree, like Patrón tequila, is incredibly versatile.
“Fever Tree is made to pair with more than just gin - of course, it has been showing this side for a while now – our premium mixers are enjoyed with a wide range of spirits – but this bespoke collaboration is something brand new.”
Fever-Tree Citrus Tonic Water will be available in selected on-trade venues from September 2018.
