During the launch phase in New Zealand, Tito’s will support Ride for Justice, an annual motorbike rally which takes place in Auckland in April, raising funds for Paw Justice, a re-homing and adoption initiative for pets.
Hancocks’ managing director andowner, Joe Jakicevich said: “The initial response from the trade has exceeded expectations and our promotional programme – which naturally includes the Vodka for Dog People fundraising platform – will hit the perfect note, driving awareness and trial.”
Vodka is the largest spirits category, representing 19% of all spirits imported.
Tito’s managing director international, John McDonnell, added: “Tito’s Handmade Vodka is a perfect storm for the Kiwis – they love vodka, they love craft spirits and they love dogs.
“Also, it is made from corn which not only creates a unique, smooth and rounder taste but also ensures Tito’s is gluten free - very important to New Zealanders, with hospitality outlets expressly catering for this trend.”
