Made from Bacardí Reserva Ocho rum, cream sherry, apricot liquor, lemon and orange zest, Chelsie’s cocktail ‘Rum Reverie’ was her first ever entry into the competition.
Now in its 11th year, Bacardí Legacy is one of the world’s biggest cocktail competitions which sets bartenders the challenge of creating their own original cocktail that will stand the test of time.
Originally from Slough, Chelsie previously held positions in a number of Bristol establishments including Mitchell & Butler, The Rummer Hotel and Redlight before her current position at Filthy xiii.
Metinee Kongsrivilai, UK brand ambassador for Bacardí, said: “It’s always a tough decision to make at this stage of the competition but we felt Rum Reverie is a true expression of Chelsie’s journey as a bartender, combining years of knowledge and expertise in one glass.”
The global final of Bacardí Legacy will take place in Amsterdam on 14 May where 43 finalists will embark on a week of education and collaboration before they showcase their cocktail.
