Dandelyan makes way for Lyaness

04 April, 2019

London bar operator Ryan Chetiywardana has opened the doors to Lyaness at Sea Containers London, bringing an end to the four-year life of the World’s Best Bar 2018, Dandelyan.

The move, the details of which were first reported on Drinksint.com early this year, has seen not only a change of name, but a new look and concept for the South Bank site.

Lyaness is described by Chetiyawardana as being more “assertive and edgy” than Dandelyan with a higher tempo and new layout.

The Lyaness menu takes its focus from the exploration of ingredients, with new techniques used to extract unusual flavour profiles from bar staples, such as the banana and raspberry.
