Ghost Tequila has appointed Andrew Teubner as chief commercial officer to direct and lead all national sales, brand strategy and marketing for the Boston-based company.

Teubner began his career in the beverage alcohol industry more than 25 years ago, working in the US and Asia with Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, Coors Brewing Company, The Patrón Spirits Company, and most recently Tequila Casa Dragones.

“As bartender and consumer excitement for Ghost continues to grow, bringing Andy onboard reinforces our commitment to establishing a truly world-class spirit,” said Chris Moran, Ghost’s CEO and co-founder. “His experience, leadership, and industry acumen will be an immeasurable asset as we build this industry-changing brand.”

Ghost Tequila is a 100% agave spicy tequila which launched two years ago and distributed in New England and southern and western US states, with plans for aggressive expansion into new markets.

Teubner added: “This is a brand that’s perfectly positioned to capture the growing market for spicy margaritas and other spicy cocktails, and is already showing above-average reorder rates.”
