Limestone's Steve Beam in action

Limestone Branch Distillery in Kentucky has won the Bourbon Distillery of the Year award at the Berlin Intl Spirits Competition.

Run by Steve Beam, the last remaining Beam family member making bourbon whiskey, Limestone is based in Lebanon, Kentucky and owned by premium beverage compay Luxco.

Beam acts as president and distiller at Limestone, which produces Yellowstone Kentucky straight bourbon whiskies - of which its Limited Edition 2018 Bourbon also won gold at the Berlin awards.

Luxrow Distillers, the distilling branch of Luxco, also produces Rebel Yell bourbon which recently won Supreme Champion in CLASS Magazine’s Bartenders’ Brands Awards with its 10-year-old Single Barrel.

Rebel Yell Small Batch Reserve also ranked fifth in the same list, which is compiled through a series of tastings and assessments from 40 of the UK’s best bartenders.
