Slingsby hits £10m revenue through flavoured gin

22 August, 2019

Slingsby gin has credited its flavoured expressions for reaching the £10m sales marker after three full years at market.

The Harrogate-based brand has also witnessed a year-on-year growth of retail sales value of 147%.

In just one year, flavoured gin has grown its share in the overall gin category from 10.8% to 29.6%, and with seven variants, it’s Slingsby’s flavoured gins including Yorkshire Rhubarb Gin and Gooseberry Gin which have significantly contributed to the brand’s growth over the last 12 months.

Co-founder of Spirit of Harrogate, Mike Carthy, said: “We will continue to experiment with new flavours and carry on innovating within the drinks market, while expanding our exporting abilities.”

Fellow co-founder Marcus Black, added: “This year is going to be big for us, Slingsby has just turned four years old and we have now hit the £10m sales milestone and we couldn’t be happier.

“We have gone bigger than ever this year, from the launch of our Summer Series campaign which has seen us partnering with some of the biggest sporting events of the year including the BMW PGA Championship, Chestertons Polo in the Park and Cowes Week, to making big plans for our next flavoured gin to thank our local customers who have supported us from the very beginning.”
