Whyte & Mackay wins big at Travel Retail Awards

02 October, 2019

Whyte & Mackay starred in this year’s Drinks International Travel Retail Awards on Tuesday, 1 October at Hotel Majestic in Cannes.

The spirits producer took home the Supreme Champion Product and Marketing Concept of the Year with its Jura Single Malt Scotch Whisky as well as Marketing Concept of the Year (single location) for The Dalmore.

Drinks International’s publisher Justin Smith said: “This year’s judging was tougher than ever before with consistent quality found across each category in both our operator and supplier awards.

“We had a challenging day of discussion, deliberation and decisions as our expert panel drew up shortlists in each of the 15 categories.”

The Travel Retail Awards were launched 12 years ago to recognise and highlight the importance of alcoholic drinks within the Global Travel Retail sector. The competition is founded on a rigorous and independent judging process.

It is supported by many of the world's leading drinks producers and global travel retailers and operators who regard it as the leading drinks event that celebrates quality and excellence.
