Bacardí Gran Reserva Diez

Bacardí launches Gran Reserva Diez in UK

10 October, 2019

Bacardí has launched a 10-year-old golden rum called Gran Reserva Diez to the UK market with an RRP £52.

Gran Reserva Diez (40% abv) is matured in charred American white oak barrels and filtered through charcoal and is described by the brand as a sipping rum.

The brand says that the growth of its portfolio comes in response to the growing trend of premiumisation across the spirits market, with sales of premium rums growing 18% in the last year, now representing 14% of the total rum sector.

“We’ve observed a big shift in the rum category towards premiumisation so the decision to grow our premium offering was an obvious one,” said Tine Van Nevel, brand director for Europe. “We’re seeing that people are increasingly opting to trade up to more sophisticated drinks and are not willing to sacrifice quality for price.”

Bacardí Gran Reserva Diez officially launched at the Bacardí Rum Room pop-up at London Cocktail Week and can also be found at the following 10 bars across the UK:

  • Trailer Happiness, London
  • Laki Kane, London
  • The Curtain, London
  • Gong, London
  • Blue Bar, London
  • Filthy Xiii, Bristol
  • Cottonopolis, Manchester
  • Panda & Sons, Edinburgh
  • Present Company, Liverpool
  • Nine Lives, London
