The beer will be available to purchase from The Goose Island Brewpub, London from 08:30am and this year’s BCS has been aged in 4+ year-old Heaven Hill, Buffalo Trace and Wild Turkey barrels.
Each year the Goose Island Chicago Brewery receives a different mix of bourbon barrels directly from distillery partners, which are then filled with its stout.
Andrew Walton, head brewer at The Goose Island Brewpub said:
“The first time I tasted Bourbon County was straight out of the barrel touring the Goose Island Barrel Warehouse as a brewing student.
“Each year brings subtle nuances and cracking open that first bottle is as exciting as it gets for a beer fan.”
A Q&A session with Walton plus a BCS-themed breakfast will be held on the day of the launch.
