The new 75cl bottle is inspired by an historic English bottle, which peaked in use from 1715 to 1740 and the liquid is a blend of tawny ports of different ages drawn from the brand’s cellars.
Taylor’s managing director, Adrian Bridge, said: “The success of the Taylor’s Historic Limited Edition and the growing demand for special editions from both existing and new port consumers, led us to enlarge our offer of these historical bottles.”
The new Taylor’s Historic Limited Edition 75cl was made available from October for RRP £28.00 at outlets including include Harvey Nichols and Tanners Wine Merchants.
David Guimaraens, Taylor’s chief wine maker, added: “This blend was carefully prepared specially for this limited edition. It displays the richness and depth of flavour typical of Taylor’s unique house style, as well as a finish of extraordinary length and distinction.”
