Walmart launches 'drive thru' beverage service in US

07 November, 2019

US supermarket chain Walmart has launched Grocery Pickup in 2000 stores nationwide which allows customers to order and pickup alcoholic beverages without leaving that car.

The service is available across 29 states and allows customers to pre-order alcoholic beverages and have them delivered to their vehicle outside a Walmart outlet.

Different states have different laws surrounding what the service can offer but in several cases a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits are available.

Customers are also required to provide photo ID upon delivery of the alcoholic beverages and the service is available in 200 stores across Florida and California alone.
