Research exposes high demand for draft alcohol-free beer

17 May, 2021

A consumer survey from alcohol-free beer brand Lucky Saint has revealed that nearly a third of people in the UK would now consider ordering an alcohol-free drink in bars, pubs or restaurants.

The research also showed that 22% of the population believe the lack of availability is stopping them from choosing alcohol-free beer, with 18% specifically referring to its lack of availability on draught.

Lucky Saint has conducted this survey having launched its non-alcoholic beer on draught across the UK in 2020.

Of those who said they would choose to drink alcohol-free options in pubs over alcoholic ones once lockdown lifts, 20% said they were looking to moderate/give up drinking in order to avoid hangovers.

Lucky Saint launched in 2018 and has become the biggest independently owned alcohol-free beer brand in the UK. The brand says it is now preparing to support on-trade venues as they re-open from lockdown.

Censuswide conducted the survey on behalf of Lucky Saint from the 30 April - 4 May 2021 and had 2,001 respondents.
