Constellation launches two new varietals for Banrock Station

18 June, 2009

Constellation Europe has launched two new dual varietal wines – a Semillon Sauvignon and Cabernet Merlot. The wines will launch in all Banrock Station markets.

Constellation has conducted research which indicates that Semillon Sauvignon and Cabernet Merlot blends particularly appeal to high spending and wine knowledgeable young professionals. The wines will retail at £5.99 in the UK, in line with the rest of the Banrock Station core range. The new dual varietals will feature the recently redesigned Banrock Station packaging, which will be in store from July 2009.

Clare Griffiths, VP of European consumer marketing, said: “Consumers are at the heart of everything Constellation does and the packaging redesign is no different. We know consumers buy into the idea of helping the earth with every glass of wine they enjoy and so the new look makes the environmental message more central to Banrock Station’s identity and will improve stand-out on shelf for this £70million brand.”
