Campari Group has acquired a minority stake in the owner of single malt whisky brand Bunnahabhain.

South Africa’s Distell Group has bought Scotch whisky firm Burn Stewart Distillers from CL World Brands and  Angostura Limited for £160m (R2.2bn).

Burn Stewart Distilleries claims to have unearthed casks containing 40-year old stocks of its flagship scotch brand Bunnahabhain.

Edinburgh whisky bottler Wemyss Malts has launched a five-expression range of blended and single cask, single malts; themed around the taste and aroma of each whisky.
