Norway has banned alcohol sales in bars and restaurants for a month in a bid to slow the spread of the Omicron variant.

Pernod Ricard has announced formally the signing of an agreement with Arcus-Gruppen to sell the Danish spirits brands Aalborg and Brøndums, German brand Malteserkreuz Aquavit, and the Danish bitter brand Gammel Dansk. The Aalborg production facility in Denmark is part of the transaction.

Wine producers looking for growth opportunities in Europe should be thinking about Finland, Norway and Sweden, according to a report from Wine Intelligence.
