Brands Report 2015: Vodka

06 January, 2015

For the moment vodka is the best selling international spirit and, despite many bartenders’ snipes, it is also big business in the world’s best bars.

A new packaging facility which cost US$43 million has been opened at the Wild Turkey distillery in Kentucky.

Campari America is to roll out a Mosacato-infused vodka in the US.

Gruppo Campari has seen only moderate growth so far in 2012 after a heel-dragging performance in Europe tempered advances in emerging markets.

Gruppo Campari has announced sales growth of 5% for H1 of 2012, with strong performances in North America and Asia Pacific offsetting difficulties in Germany, Italy and South America.

Italian drinks company Davide Campari-Milano has reported a group net profit for 2011 of €159.2m, up from €156.2m in 2010.

SKyy Spirits, Gruppo Campari’s US-based subsidiary, has unveiled a new global ad campaign entitled Skyy Sexy to market its unflavoured vodka brand Skyy Vodka.
