Brands Report 2023: Beer

05 January, 2023

There’s a broad country spread when it comes to the beers stocked in the world’s best bars.

Asahi Group Holdings has announced that Asahi Super Dry will be the official beer for the Rugby World Cup 2023 in France.

Asahi aims to raise up to $1.5 billion in a share offering to repay loans taken out to buy Carlton & United Breweries from AB InBev.

The price of Japanese beer is set to rise due to the increase in the costs of natural resources and labor expense.

Asahi UK will see a new managing director take the helm from January 2018 as current MD, Gary Haigh retires at the end of this year.

Next up in the Brands Report is beer.

Asahi Group has reached an agreement to acquire Australsian-based drinks operator, Flavoured Beverages Group.

Carlton & United Breweries and Asahi Breweries have extended a long-term exclusive licence for Carlton to sell and market Asahi Super Dry in Australia.
